This wheel-thrown hanging planter has been made using a red vitrified clay, and strung with a strong hemp chord. It features a decal of one of my screenprinted images of a house sparrow.
The inside and outer surface has been dipped in a glossy white glaze, whilst the underside and bottom edge has been left unglazed; giving a lovely, rich contrast of textures and colours between the glaze and the raw clay body.
