Potter, printmaker, ecologist…

Heather grew up in the countryside, surrounded by the beautiful hills, fields and forests of Scotland. Here, her passion for the natural world grew, which led her into a career of nature conservation and wildlife ecology.

Heather’s interest in working with clay and art simultaneously developed as she experimented with various printmaking and ceramic techniques.

Her world is hugely influenced by the simplicity and beauty found in nature, and her intimate encounters with wildlife. Through her work she tries to create those connections with wild places and the nature found in them, making unique pieces which are a pleasure to use.
